Build Canada Homes is ready to accept proposals and work with partners to build and deliver affordable housing at scale. By transforming the approach to public-private collaboration and deploying modern methods of construction, Build Canada Homes is looking to build homes across Canada that remain affordable over the long term.

We’re especially interested in proposals that:

• Increase the supply of affordable, non-market and community housing;
• Support projects that deliver large scale impact over time;
• Use innovative building methods such as factory-built, prefab and modular, and Canadian sourced materials;
• Integrate Modern Methods of Construction;
• Demonstrate financial viability and leverage other sources of funding;
• Demonstrate that Build Canada Homes’ support is essential to initiate construction.

Initial investments will prioritize “shovel-ready” projects that can begin within 12 months.
